Reverse description The reverse presents a detailed bas-relief scene commemorating the First General Latvian Song Festival held in Riga in the 19th century. A large procession of participants in period costume occupies the central and lower field, bearing aloft a decorated festival banner inscribed 'Lihgo' with figural imagery, suspended from a tall pole against a backdrop of Riga's historic skyline with church spires. The curved legend I VISPAREJIE LATVIEŠU DZIESMU SVĒTKI XIX GS. arcs along the upper border, while the inscription RĪGA-800 appears prominently in the lower exergue, commemorating the 800th anniversary of the city.
