10 Latu 13th Century Riga

Obverse description	The central field presents a matted relief rendition of the 1226 seal of the Riga Town Council, depicting the walls of a medieval fortified city, the crossed keys of Saint Peter, and a bishop's crosier, all executed with varying degrees of metal matting to create depth and contrast. Below the heraldic motif, the date 1995 and the denomination numeral 10 are inscribed, followed by the currency inscription LATU arranged along the lower portion of the field. The design is unframed, allowing the textured central motif to occupy the full coin face within a plain border.
