| Reverse description | Three children at play on a climbing frame are depicted in dynamic relief at the centre of the field, evoking the spirit of childhood and the 1979 International Year of the Child. A girl holding a doll hangs from the central bar while two further children climb and tumble on either side. The denomination KWACHA 10 is inscribed in the upper legend, and the commemorative inscription INTERNATIONAL YEAR OF THE CHILD curves along the lower periphery. Two UNICEF emblems flank the central design in the lower field, and the Royal Mint lozenge privy mark appears at the base of the climbing frame. |
