Obverse description Central field dominated by the elaborate calligraphic toughra of Sultan Mehmed V, rendered in fine relief against a plain field. The toughra is flanked and surrounded by an ornate decorative border composed of interlocking crescent moons and six-pointed stars, themselves enclosed within a beaded outer rim. Below the toughra, the Arabic numeral '٣' (3) denotes the regnal year, accompanied by the word 'سنة' (year). The overall composition reflects the refined Ottoman calligraphic tradition applied to coinage.
