| Obverse description | At centre, the Estonian coat of arms — three blue lions passant on a shield, flanked by oak branches — is displayed within a circular beaded border inscribed with the date 2009 below. This central medallion is set within an elaborately engraved eight-pointed star with flame-like foliate embellishments at each point and a beaded inner border. The entire composition is set against a deeply mirrored black field, with a twisted rope border encircling the full diameter of the coin. |
