Obverse description Right-facing diademed effigy of Queen Margrethe II, wearing a jewelled tiara, drop earring, and pearl necklace, her hair styled in an elaborate upswept coiffure. The circular legend reads 'MARGRETHE II DANMARKS DRONNING' around the upper periphery, with the mint master's initials R and engraver's initial B flanking the base of the neck below the truncation. A beaded border frames the entire design.

Reverse description The full Danish royal coat of arms, featuring a quartered shield with lions and hearts, surmounted by a royal crown, and supported on either side by two nude wild men (woodwose figures) each resting on a club, standing on a base linked by a decorative chain. The word 'PRØVE' appears vertically to the left and the Roman numeral 'III' vertically to the right within the field. The date '1983' and denomination '10 KRONER' appear in the lower exergue. A beaded border frames the design.
