| Obverse description | Right-facing effigy of Queen Margrethe II, depicted with an elaborately coiffed hairstyle adorned with a tiara or decorative hair ornament, her neck and shoulders bare. The circular legend reads MARGRETHE II ♥ DANMARKS DRONNING, separated by a heart mintmark, running along the upper periphery. The date and mint officials' initials (LG JP A) appear in the lower field beneath the portrait, engraved by Jan Petersen in a refined, naturalistic style consistent with late 20th-century Danish coinage. |
