| Obverse description | Bare-headed right-facing effigy of King Harald V of Norway occupying the upper two-thirds of the field, rendered in high relief with finely detailed hair and facial features in a naturalistic sculptural style characteristic of engraver Nils Aas. A horizontal line separates the portrait from the lower legend panel. Below the bust, the inscription HARALD V appears in bold capitals on the first line, with the royal motto ALT FOR NORGE (All for Norway) on the second line. The engraver's monogram appears at lower left beneath the portrait truncation. |
