| Reverse description | The central device features the quartered coat of arms of the Principality of Liechtenstein, displayed on a crowned shield and flanked by two decorative laurel or olive branches. The denomination numeral '10' appears to the upper left of the shield and the abbreviation 'KR·' to the upper right, together forming the face value. The date '1900' is divided across the lower field, with '19' to the left and '00' to the right. The entire design is enclosed within a beaded border. |

| Additional information |
Johann II ruled Liechtenstein for 70 years — the longest reign of any European monarch in recorded history, from 1858 to 1929 — yet the principality struck almost no coinage of its own during most of that period, relying instead on Austro-Hungarian currency for daily commerce. This 1900 issue was produced at the Vienna Mint and belongs to a small series of gold pieces minted essentially as sovereign statements rather than for circulation, with mintages so restricted that virtually no examples ever passed through ordinary hands.
