Obverse description Central crowned oval shield bearing the arms of Solothurn — vertical stripes — flanked by two outward-curving laurel or olive sprigs tied at the base by crossed branches. The crown above the shield is a civic triple-arched type. The circular legend reads MONETA REIP · SOLODORENSIS, separated at the base by the crossed sprigs. The design is executed in a refined baroque engraving style with fine detail on the shield and foliage.
