Comments

This note belongs to the first postwar Czechoslovak emission, authorized in London during the government-in-exile period and printed by De La Rue before liberation. The physical notes were transported to Czechoslovakia in 1945 for immediate use after the Soviet and Allied advance — part of a broader effort to replace the protectorate-era currency that had circulated under Nazi occupation since 1939.

De La Rue produced several denominations in this series under wartime and immediate postwar conditions. The 10 Korun is among the lower values, which typically saw heavier circulation and consequently survive less often in clean, undamaged state.
