Obverse description The Soviet state emblem — a hammer and sickle superimposed on a globe, surmounted by a five-pointed star and flanked by wheat sheaves — is depicted in low relief to the left of centre. Radiating sunrays fan outward from behind the emblem across the entire field, lending a dynamic, propagandistic character to the design. To the right, the commemorative dates '1917' and '1967' are rendered in large, bold numerals stacked vertically, marking the fiftieth anniversary of the October Revolution. The composition is framed by a plain raised rim, with no peripheral legend on this face.
