Reverse description
Against the backdrop of a stylized outline of a sheet of paper is a composition symbolizing the country that hosts the XXIV Winter Olympic Games – China, which has an ancient culture, one element of which is paper; in the center is a map of Beijing with pictograms of a snowboarder and a figure skater; to the right of the composition is a fan – an integral part of traditional Chinese culture, the first records of fans date back to between the 4th and the 2nd centuries BCE. In addition, the reverse features a snowflake (beneath), and the logotype of the National Olympic Comittee of Ukraine (to the left), above which are a dragon’s head and flames – a symbol of the Olympic Games.
