Obverse description The obverse features a sculptural relief of the equestrian statue of Saint George (St. Yur) slaying the dragon, created by Johann Georg Pinsel between 1759 and 1761, as it appears on the facade of St. George's Cathedral in Lviv. To the left of the statue, the coin's date of issue, 2004, is inscribed vertically, with the small national emblem of Ukraine (trident) positioned beneath it. A semicircular legend arching above reads УКРАЇНА, while the denomination 10 ГРИВЕНЬ curves along the lower arc beneath the central motif. The metal designation, fineness, and fine weight are inscribed within the field.
