| Obverse description | The obverse features a thematic composition common to the Hetmans of Ukraine commemorative series, expressing the concept of a unified Ukrainian state. The small National Emblem of Ukraine (trident) is displayed prominently, flanked by the emblematic figures of the Archangel Michael, symbol of Kyiv, and a crowned lion, symbol of Lviv, rendered in a baroque artistic style. Decorative baroque ornamentation divides the circular legends. The upper legend reads УКРАЇНА, the lower denomination reads 10 ГРИВЕНЬ, with the year 2002 and the fineness designation Ag 925 and troy weight 31,1 also inscribed in the field. |
