Obverse description Printed in red and black on white paper, the obverse is dominated by a large gothic-script denomination '10 Heller' at the top, below which the date '15. Juni 1920' and place name 'Siezenheim Salzburg' appear. A central cartouche in lighter underprint carries the redemption text in Kurrent script, followed by the facsimile signatures of the Bürgermeister and three Gemeinderäte. A comb-tooth border frames all four sides, and an anti-counterfeiting warning with the printer's imprint 'Buchdruckerei Zaunrith Salzburg' runs along the lower margin.

Comments

Siezenheim's 1920 Heller notes belong to the vast wave of Austrian municipal notgeld produced when the post-war collapse of central monetary authority left small communities printing their own fractional currency to cover change shortages. Buchdruckerei Zaunrith, a Salzburg commercial printer, produced issues for several surrounding parishes during this period — nothing exotic about the arrangement, but it places this note firmly in a regional network of emergency municipal finance rather than any isolated local initiative.

Four signatories authenticated each note: the Bürgermeister and three named Gemeinderäte, an unusually full council endorsement for a 10 Heller denomination.
