| Obverse description | The obverse carries a letterpress vignette of the Schalchen parish church with its distinctive onion-dome tower set against a rural landscape with trees and hills. The denomination numeral '10' appears in red within ornamental circular cartouches at upper left and upper right, flanked by the Gothic-script legend 'Heller Heller' across the top centre. A decorative rectangular border of repeating oval and bead motifs frames the entire face, with the issuer name 'Gemeinde Schalchen' in large Gothic blackletter script occupying the right portion of the note. The printer's imprint 'Druck J. Meier, Braunau a. Inn' appears at the lower margin. |
