| Obverse description | Green-printed notgeld on white paper, divided into a wide left panel and a narrow right panel. The left panel centres on an oval vignette with a landscape scene of a riverside building and tower set against a mountainous backdrop, framed by an elaborate floral border of roses and leafy branches. Denomination inscriptions 'Gut-Schein Zehn' and 'Gut-Schein Heller' appear in Gothic blackletter script at the upper corners of the vignette, with the validity dates 'Ausgabig 1918' and '31 Dezember 1920' at the lower corners; two manuscript signatures and the place name 'Sarmingstein a.D.' appear along the bottom edge.
