| Obverse description | Cream-toned notgeld printed in black and red. A red left panel carries a vignette of the Mariazell pilgrimage basilica in red underprint, with the numeral '10' in a ruled box at top and the validity inscription 'Gültig bis 30. September 1920' below. The main field is framed by a fine dotted border and headed by the issuer title in Gothic script; the denomination 'Zehn Heller' is set in large ornate Fraktur lettering with calligraphic flourishes. Below the denomination text, a three-line guarantee clause appears in smaller Gothic script, followed by three facsimile signatures above a detailed black engraved panoramic vignette of Mariazell town with the basilica towers visible at centre. |
