| Obverse description | The note is divided into three vertical panels framed by a decorative border with stylized floral and foliate motifs. The left and right panels each carry the denomination numeral '10' within a yellow-tinted cartouche above and below the inscription 'ZEHN' and 'HELLER' respectively. The central panel presents a line-art vignette of the historic 'Eiserner Wehrtisch' (iron defence table) of Marchtrenk, a carved wooden table rendered in fine detail, flanked above by an ornamental frieze of interlaced vine scrollwork. The heading 'NOTGELD DER GEMEINDE MARCHTRENK' runs across the full width of the upper border. |

| Reverse lettering | Zehn Heller Die Gemeinde Marchtrenk gibt laut Gemeindebeschluß vom 22. Mai 1920, zur Abhilfe des Kleingeldmangels Gutscheine zu 10, 20 und 50 Heller im Betrage von K 50.000.— aus. Für die Einlösung dieser Scheine bis 31. Dezemb. 1920 in gesetzl. Bargelde haftet die Gemeinde. Der Bürgermeister: Dr. JOSEF HOLZHEY. Die Nachahmung dieses Scheines wird gesetzlich bestraft. |
