Obverse description The obverse is printed in dark brown on cream paper and enclosed within a scalloped decorative border with ornamental corner devices. The upper portion carries the bold letterpress inscription GUTSCHEIN / der Gemeinde Kühnring, below which a finely engraved landscape vignette presents a panoramic view of the village of Kühnring with its church steeple and surrounding foliage. The denomination is stated at the base as ZEHN HELLER, flanked on either side by numeral 10 within circular cartouches.

Reverse description The reverse, printed in grey on cream paper, repeats the scalloped border frame with corner ornaments. The upper field carries a mirror-image ghost impression of the obverse GUTSCHEIN heading bleeding through the paper. The central text block, set in Gothic script, records the demonetization decree of the Lower Austrian provincial government dated 11 June 1920, stating that the note no longer serves as Notgeld and is redeemable only for collector purposes. Below the text appears the place and date line Kühnring, im Juni 1920, followed by two manuscript signatures with the designation Bgmst. (Bürgermeister), and at the base a mirror-image underprint of ZEHN HELLER flanked by numeral cartouches.
