| Obverse description | Printed in dark brown on plain paper in a Jugendstil letterpress style, the obverse carries an ornate Gothic script heading 'Notgeld der Marktgemeinde Gars a/Kamp' with elaborate scrollwork at upper left, beneath which the municipal coat of arms is rendered as a vignette with folk figures under a tree. To the right, an octagonal-framed vignette presents a view of the Altes Markttor (Old Market Gate) with a church visible through the archway, captioned below, alongside the denomination '10 Heller' in bold Gothic numerals. A central text block carries the municipality's liability pledge, dated 'Gars, am 28. April 1920', with two facsimile signatures below identifying the Vice-Mayor and Mayor. |
