| Obverse description | The obverse is printed in dark olive-green on cream paper, with a decorative dot-and-square border framing the entire note. To the left, a rectangular vignette presents a woodcut-style landscape view of Biberbach, with a church steeple rising above clustered village buildings set against rolling hills and billowing clouds. To the right, the denomination "Zehn Heller" is inscribed in Gothic blackletter script at the top, flanked by numeral "10" in each corner, with the issuer name "Gutschein der Gemeinde Biberbach bei Seitenstetten, N.Ö." and a guarantee text below. Austrian Notgeld of this type emerged from a practical crisis: the post-WWI collapse of small coin circulation left municipalities across the former empire unable to make change. Biberbach, a minor Lower Austrian parish, joined hundreds of other local authorities in issuing emergency fractions in 1920, with the Amstetten printer F. Rielar handling production for several nearby communities simultaneously — which accounts for the family resemblance across notes from this pocket of Lower Austria.
The Jaksc/Pick reference JPR0086Ib-10 distinguishes this as the second sub-variety of the series, suggesting at least one earlier printing exists.
