Reverse description The Imperial Austrian double-headed eagle displayed, each head surmounted by an arched crown joined by a central larger crown above, the wings spread and detailed with finely engraved feathers. The eagle holds a sword and sceptre in its talons and bears on its breast the Austrian barry shield. The circular legend 31 EINE FEINE VEREINS MARK is arranged around the periphery, referencing the coin's fineness standard within the Austro-German Vereinsmünze system. A beaded border frames the entire design.
