| Additional information |
Samoa has issued a long-running series of fish-themed coinage aimed squarely at the collector market, with individual species rotating through successive years. The blueringed angelfish — Pomacanthus annularis — is native to the Indo-Pacific, well outside Samoan waters, which places this firmly in the category of numismatic product rather than any expression of national natural heritage.
