Obverse lettering PHILIPPE PETAIN MARECHAL DE FRANCE + CHEF DE L'ETAT +
Reverse description Allegorical composition by Henri Vézien embodying the Vichy motto Travail, Famille, Patrie. At centre, a seated woman nurses an infant, flanked on the left by a bare-chested male worker holding a sheaf of wheat who extends his hand in a gesture of solidarity, and on the right by a uniformed soldier bearing a rifle. The denomination FAMILLE above and 10 FRANCS in large numerals occupies the upper field, while TRAVAIL appears vertically on the left and PATRIE on the right. The word ESSAI is inscribed alongside TRAVAIL, identifying this as a pattern strike. The engraver's signature F.J. VEZIEN appears near the lower right, and the date 1943 is placed in the exergue flanked by small ornaments.
