| Obverse description | Left-facing bust of Prince Louis II in military uniform, adorned with several decorations and medals on his chest. The effigy is rendered in high relief in a naturalistic style characteristic of Pierre Turin's work. The legend LOUIS II PRINCE DE MONACO arcs around the upper portion of the field. The engraver's signature P. TURIN appears in small lettering to the left, below the bust. The entire design is contained within a beaded inner border. |
