Reverse description Central device comprises the crowned Royal Arms of Belgium — a shield bearing the rampant lion of Belgium, supported on either side by ermine-lined mantling — rendered in fine relief. The denomination '10 F.' is placed to the left and right of the shield respectively. The motto 'L'UNION FAIT LA FORCE' (Unity Makes Strength) arcs across the upper field, while the date appears prominently in the lower exergue. The weight '3,106' and fineness '900/M' are inscribed in the lower left and lower right fields respectively. A dentilated border encircles the design.
