| Obverse description | The obverse displays the national coat of arms of Senegal at center, depicting a quartered shield with a rampant lion on the dexter half and a baobab tree on the sinister half, encircled by an ornate wreath of laurel branches joined at the base by a ribbon. A single five-pointed star appears above the shield at the apex of the wreath. A row of small stars is arranged along the lower rim. The circular legend REPUBLIQUE DU SENEGAL is inscribed around the upper periphery in raised Latin characters. |
