| Reverse description | A full-length, frontal effigy of the Egyptian goddess Bastet depicted in anthropomorphic form, with a feline head adorned with traditional pharaonic regalia including a broad collar necklace and ornate armour. She holds an ankh-topped sceptre in her right hand, set against a large circular solar disc motif in the background. Columns of hieroglyphic inscriptions fill the right portion of the field, presented in a structured cartouche-style panel. The inscription 'Golden Egypt' appears in Latin lettering to the right, with a circular cartouche bearing the name 'Bastet' and an ankh symbol positioned at centre-lower. The fineness and weight designations '.9999 finest gold' and '1/100 OZ' are inscribed along the lower exergue. |
