| Obverse description | An intaglio portrait of Sándor Petőfi, the celebrated Hungarian poet and revolutionary, occupies an oval guilloche vignette at the right, labelled 'PETŐFI SÁNDOR' beneath. To the left, a large denominational numeral '10' is set within an elaborate oval guilloche rosette, framed by an anti-counterfeiting legend along its border, while the Republic coat of arms appears centrally at the foot flanked by decorative foliate scrollwork. The issuer name 'MAGYAR NEMZETI BANK' and the date of issue are inscribed in the centre, above three facsimile signatures with their respective titles. |
