| Additional information |
Issued to mark Willem-Alexander's accession to the Dutch throne on 30 April 2013 — the first Dutch investiture in 33 years, following Beatrix's abdication. Aruba, as an autonomous constituent country within the Kingdom of the Netherlands, issues its own coinage but shares the monarch, making commemorative issues like this one both legally Aruban and dynastic in character.
The Fr#11 reference places it within the Frosien gold catalog for Dutch kingdom territories. Mintages for Aruban gold issues of this type are typically very low, struck primarily for collectors rather than circulation.
