| Obverse description | Central circular cartouche bearing the denomination numeral '١٠' (10) above the word 'فلوس' (Fils) in Arabic script. Flanking the central cartouche are two symmetrical olive or palm branches curving upward from the base, meeting at the lower field. The dual dates '١٣٧٩ - ١٩٥٩' (1379 AH - 1959 AD) are inscribed horizontally below the cartouche. The legend 'الجمهورية العراقية' (Republic of Iraq) arches in bold Arabic calligraphy across the upper field. The scalloped coin border with twelve notches frames the entire design. |
