Reverse description At center, a sinuous five-clawed imperial dragon is depicted in profile, pursuing a flaming pearl positioned at the center of the design, rendered in the conventional Qing dynastic style. An English legend arcs above and below the central motif, reading the province name and the weight in candareens. To the left and right of the dragon, vertical Manchu script inscriptions identify the issuing dynasty as the Great Qing Empire. The overall design follows the standard format adopted by Qing provincial mints for silver subsidiary coinage of this period.
