| Obverse description | Central field features a stylized vase motif, the size of which varies by emission. The vase is flanked and surrounded by multiple columns of Chinese characters arranged to be read top to bottom and right to left, forming the principal legend. Inscriptions identify the issuing province, the reign era and regnal year, the denomination in candareens, and the standard weight reference. The overall design is contained within a beaded or plain border. |
