| Reverse description | A finely detailed Imperial Chinese dragon occupies the central field, depicted in high relief coiling sinuously with its head facing forward and claws extended, clutching a flaming pearl beneath its chest. The dragon's scales, whiskers, and flame-tipped tail are rendered with careful artistry characteristic of Wuchang Mint provincial issues. The curved Latin legend 'HU-PEH PROVINCE' arcs along the upper periphery, while '7.2 CANDAREENS' curves along the lower border, both separated by small decorative rosettes. A beaded inner circle frames the dragon device, and the coin is enclosed by a reeded outer rim. The overall composition is consistent with the standard late Qing dragon-type reverse design used across Hupeh Province silver coinage. |
