| Obverse description | The obverse depicts a lively scene from the traditional Tirolean folk custom known as the Telfer Schleicherlaufen, a centuries-old carnival procession held in Telfs. Three elaborately costumed figures are shown in the foreground, wearing the characteristic ornate headdresses associated with the festival, including a large sun-motif crown in the centre. A stylised townscape with a church tower appears in the left field, while an eagle in flight is rendered in the upper background against a mountainous horizon. The denominational legend '10 EURO 2014' appears to the lower left in the field, and the curved inscriptions 'REPUBLIK ÖSTERREICH' above and 'TELFER SCHLEICHERLAUFEN' below frame the composition along the inner rim. |
