Additional information

The Bélem is France's oldest surviving three-masted sailing ship, launched at Nantes in 1896 and originally built to carry cacao from Brazil. She passed through several owners over the following century — including the Duke of Westminster and an Italian foundation — before returning to French hands in 1979 and undergoing full restoration. The Monnaie de Paris issued this coin as part of its ongoing series honoring French maritime heritage.

KM#2292 is one of several Bélem-themed issues from this mint; confirm the specific reverse variant before cataloging against adjacent reference numbers.
