| Obverse description | At the centre of the obverse, the coat of arms of the Slovak Republic is rendered against a field of dynamic centripetal radiating lines, symbolising Slovakia's central role during its presidency of the Council of the European Union. The year '2016' appears to the right of the arms. The peripheral legend 'SLOVENSKÁ REPUBLIKA' arcs along the upper edge, while the denomination '10 EURO' is positioned along the lower edge, both legends separated by decorative graphical symbols. In the lower portion of the field, the Kremnica Mint mark 'MK' and the stylised initials of designer Vladimír Pavlica, 'VP', are incorporated into the composition. |
