| Obverse description | The obverse features a detailed cartographic outline of the Rhône-Alpes region occupying the lower half of the field, superimposed by the regional flag rendered in high relief. At upper left, the rampant lion from the historical coat of arms of the Dauphiné is prominently depicted, while elements of the regional heraldry, including a fleur-de-lis and shield motifs with decorative horizontal striping, fill the upper right portion of the field. The monogram 'RF' (République Française) appears in bold relief at center right. The legend 'RHÔNE-ALPES' is incused along the lower right rim, with a diagonal ribbon-like device sweeping across the composition. |
