The face of this coin presents a profile view of the Genius of the Bastille as well as the column on which he rests. It is highlighted by a selective deposit of gold. The lower part of the coin shows the Bastille square and the buildings that make it up, and the graphic motifs at the foot of the column are also present. An excerpt from the text `To the glory of the French citizens who armed themselves and fought for the defense of public liberties` is inscribed on the coin, we also find the dates of July 27, 28 and 29.
