Reverse description The reverse features a bold octagonal geometric framework formed by incised lines radiating from the centre to create a star-like pattern that fills the entire field. At the centre of the octagon, the denomination 10 and the word EURO are prominently displayed in large relief numerals, flanked above by an olive branch and below by an oak branch, both traditional symbols of the French Republic. The year of issue 2012 appears to the right within the central motif. The three words of the French republican motto — LIBERTÉ, ÉGALITÉ, FRATERNITÉ — are inscribed along three sides of the inner octagon, each running along one edge of the geometric border.
