| Obverse description | The obverse presents a richly detailed allegorical composition celebrating the Pays de la Loire region. At upper right, the imposing cylindrical towers of the Château des ducs de Bretagne in Nantes are rendered in fine relief, while to the left a tall-masted sailing vessel evokes the region's proud maritime heritage. In the lower centre field, the monogram 'RF' (République Française) is prominently displayed in large interlaced letters. The curved legend 'PAYS DE LA LOIRE' arcs along the lower rim, completing the regional identification. |
