| Reverse description | The reverse presents a finely detailed three-quarter facing portrait of Milan Rastislav Štefánik, Slovak astronomer, diplomat, and general, wearing his French military uniform cap adorned with an oak-leaf decorative band. His effigy occupies the left and lower-centre of the field, rendered with great sculptural depth. To the right, a stylised biplane aircraft is depicted in geometric, modernist relief, referencing Štefánik's role as a military aviator. The legend 'MILAN RASTISLAV ŠTEFÁNIK' curves along the left rim and lower field, while the dates '1880 • 1919' — marking his birth and death years — arc along the upper portion of the field. The engraver's initial 'Ř' appears discreetly in the lower right field. |
