| Obverse description | A highly detailed frontal view of Melk Abbey (Stift Melk) dominates the field, rendered in fine relief with its characteristic Baroque twin-towered facade, central dome, and flanking wings. The abbey's ornate architectural elements — including pilasters, statuary niches, and the arched gateway — are meticulously engraved. To the lower right, the heraldic shield of Melk Abbey is depicted in relief. The inscription 'STIFT' appears to the upper left and 'MELK' to the upper right of the facade, flanking the central towers. Along the lower field, the legend reads 'REPUBLIK ÖSTERREICH 10 EURO' with the date '2007' incused in the exergue. |
