| Reverse description | The reverse features a central portrait of the Little Prince rendered in fine relief, his face shown in near-frontal view with characteristic tousled hair and scarf. Surrounding the central effigy, the title of Saint-Exupéry's celebrated work is inscribed in multiple languages arranged around the field, including French, English, German, and Japanese. The denomination '10 euro' and the date '2015' are inscribed in the lower portion of the field, separated from the multilingual legends by star ornaments serving as dividers. |

| Additional information |
Issued as part of Monnaie de Paris's ongoing Saint-Exupéry licensing series, this piece draws on a text that entered the French public domain only in 2015 — the same year this coin appeared. The timing was not coincidental; French copyright law had protected the work for seventy years following Saint-Exupéry's death in July 1944, when his reconnaissance aircraft disappeared over the Mediterranean during a mission for the Free French Air Forces.
