| Obverse description | The obverse features a stylized map of the Languedoc-Roussillon region occupying the central field, rendered in relief against a finely lined background. Superimposed over the regional map is the bold monogram 'RF' (République Française), the national identifier of France. Above the map, a decorative motif of grapevine branches with stylized bunches of grapes alludes to the region's celebrated viticulture. The legend 'LANGUEDOC-ROUSSILLON' curves along the right and lower rim in large incuse lettering, while the mint mark appears in the lower left field. |

| Additional information |
Part of the Monnaie de Paris "Régions de France" series launched in 2010, which produced a silver 10-euro piece for each of metropolitan France's then-22 administrative regions. Languedoc-Roussillon's entry is the "1st type," distinguishing it from a second variant issued the same year — an unusual doubling within a single annual series that resulted from the program's ambition outpacing its planning.
