Reverse description The reverse presents a stylized depiction of a traditional Finnish kantele or bell-shaped musical form rendered in bold relief, with two arching vertical elements framing a finely lined horizontal field suggestive of musical notation. A small mint mark appears in the upper centre of the field. The bilingual legend SUOMI FINLAND arcs along the upper periphery, with the denomination 10 € inscribed along the lower periphery and the year 2010 integrated into the circular legend.

Additional information

Konsta Jylhä (1903–1985) was a Finnish folk musician from Kaustinen whose clarinet playing became central to the revival of Finnish traditional music in the 1960s and 70s. The Kaustinen Folk Music Festival, founded in 1968, drew international attention partly through performers like Jylhä, and Finland's sustained institutional interest in preserving regional folk traditions made commemorative recognition of figures like him a logical — if belated — cultural priority.

This coin was issued on the 107th anniversary of his birth.
