| Obverse description | The national coat of arms of Malta occupies the central field, depicting a quartered shield bearing a cross and vertical lines, surmounted by a mural crown and flanked by two symmetrical olive branches tied at the base. A ribbon scroll in the lower portion of the arms bears the legend REPUBBLIKA TA' MALTA in Latin characters. The country name MALTA appears to the left and the date 2025 to the right along the upper border, both rendered in relief. Thirteen five-pointed stars are arranged in a ring around the rim, referencing the European Union motif. The mint mark of the Royal Dutch Mint appears in the lower central field beneath the shield. |
