| Obverse description | The denomination '10' is prominently displayed at center-right within a geometric hexagonal frame, accompanied by an olive branch above and an oak branch below. The legend 'RÉPUBLIQUE FRANÇAISE' curves around the upper and lower periphery, with 'EURO' inscribed to the left of the numeral. The date '2017' appears vertically along the right inner edge of the hexagonal border. The overall design incorporates a lattice of diagonal lines forming a decorative diamond pattern in the field. |

Part of the Monnaie de Paris "Regions of France" series designed by Jean-Paul Gaultier, this issue was one of several released in 2017 pairing the fashion designer's aesthetic sensibility with French regional identity. Gaultier, born in the Paris suburb of Arcueil, brought an outsider's romanticism to the project — the series was explicitly intended to rehabilitate regional pride at a moment of considerable political tension over French national identity.
The .333 fineness places this firmly in billon territory — a silver content low enough that these circulated nominally as legal tender while functioning in practice as collectibles from the point of issue.
